My favorite here is Sarah Henderson.. you read any of her books yet?..
"Well-known Australian pastoralist and author Sara Henderson, who documented her life story in the book From Strength to Strength, has died, the ABC has reported.
Ms Henderson died in the palliative care ward of a hospital at Caloundra, on the Queensland Sunshine Coast, her daughter Marlee Ranacher told the ABC.
Ms Henderson was 68.
She was named Businesswoman of the Year in 1991 for overcoming a $750,000 debt incurred by the Bullo River station - a Sydney-sized property in the Northern Territory.
Her best-selling autobiography From Strength to Strength, published in 1993, was one of six books she wrote.
The story documented her family's struggle to manage the massive Top End cattle station after her American-born husband Charlie died in 1985.
Ms Henderson became the public face of BreastScreen Australia, urging over-50s women in a series of television commercials to have mammograms"

" Sometimes the longest journey begins with great patience. When Jon Bowermaster proposed an 800-mile kayak expedition along Vietnam's northern coastline, the country's government responded, "That will be quite impossible." Negotiation saved the day, and Bowermaster and his team of five—including a Vietnamese-American woman who had fled Saigon as a child on the final day of war in 1975—made the unprecedented voyage.
Bowermaster met thousands of Vietnam’s citizens—rich and poor, fishermen and entrepreneurs, almost all beach dwellers who live and depend on the sea. For many, he was the first American they had ever encountered.
In chapters flowing from north to south, his highly personal story and Rob Howard's compelling images bring to life Vietnam's vibrant edge."

Learn why it's good if your child is too embarrassed to be seen with you, and how to harness your life force through the power of yoga – and liberally applied make-up.
Discover some key terms for the fashion addicted – Show Crow, Bag Hag and Fleabag – and work out where you fit on the spectrum.
Warm, witty and wise, Style Notes is the ultimate insider's guide – a knowledgeable but not-too-serious take on the wonders and weirdness of the world of fashion, style and life beyond.

Do you also have piles all over your house?.. are books overtaking you?
Absolutely - I am being overrun by books and more keep coming in - Love them to bits! I can't live without them and was gobsmacked when a friend told me yesterday " I have just got my first ever bookshelf on the weekend - at the age of 46!" We have books in every room and they are a joy. This is a great post - must go off and hunt some of these down. Cheers F
