'T' is for.. Temple club.. and Terracotta floors.. and..

Temple Club Review

For atmosphere alone, the Temple Club is a must-see in Ho Chi Minh. As the name suggests, this is an old Chinese temple (ca. 1900), with original wood and masonry. The decor is upscale, but the prices are reasonable and the food is great. The ceiling is high, and the walls are exposed brick.

The floor is terra cotta draped in antique throw rugs, and there are some great Buddhist tapestries and statuary about. There's a classic old wooden bar and a formal but comfortable dining room, as well as a lounge area in the back for coffee and dessert.
The cuisine is standard Vietnamese from all parts of the country. This place does a good Hanoi-style cha ca (fried monkfish), and the grilled fish Long Va style (grilled fish on a bed of spring onions and dill covered in crisp garlic and peanuts) is an excellent choice. For dessert, the homemade Hue cake in secret sauce, a steamed cake made of ground green beans served with a pandan and coconut sauce, is done just right. The coffee is the real thing; they even have cappuccino. This is one of the most atmospheric and romantic spots in town.

Inside and out.. Saigon Central Post office..

Saigon Central Post Office.. : Bưu điện Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) is a post office  in the downtown Ho Chi Minh City, near Saigon Notre Dame Basilica, the city's main church. The building was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the early 20th century.

It has a Gothic architectural style. It was designed and constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel in harmony with the surrounding area. Today, the building is a tourist attraction.
And what a tourist attraction it is... this was Sunday morning 9,30am! Buzzing with bods..
These floor tiles could tell a story or two I bet! Beautiful design and colors.. I'm sure by now you know I'm crazy about building floors!

And ceilings.. this oldie has been preserved so well! Aah.. my mind slipped up.. it was actually 10.20am.. Its good to always capture pictures with clocks! And proudly watching over all the activities.. Uncle Ho.. Father of the Nation..

The ceiling in detail..
And the walls.. such beautiful design and color..

The local time in Pretoria South Africa..

And the outside of it..its just opposite the Notre Dame Cathedral.. that's tomorrow's post.. come back tomorrow for an inside peek of it..

Vietnam love?.. What is love all about?

Have you found your true love yet?
The one that is your support, your strength, your pillar?
The one that you can laugh, cry and dream with?
The one that you can plan fur the future, and share your past with?
The one that you can sing with, and eat with, and talk with?
The one that's worth the pains of beauty for?
The one that whispers sweet nothings in your ear and even after all this time, still makes your head spin?
The one that you'd be proud to stand besides, walk besides for the rest of your life?
The one that catches every rainbow for you? And the one that time stands still with..
Aah.. and the one that even when times get tough, still stands with you?..

I HAVE.. thanks my very faithful, honest, trustworthy, patient, kind, loving, kind, generous, and most of all giving his whole self to me, ALWAYS... F...you're simply the best! xx I love you!
