Something new.. today...

Do you enjoy Retail Therapy?

I do.. mind you I don't do as much of it now as I used to..

I previously used to work at a Corporate Travel Company in Sydney CBD.. 

and couldn't wait for my lunch hour, 

so that I could talk a very brisk quick walk up to
David Jones, 

Gulp down some quick sushi for lunch.. buy some quick dinner bits.. 

and then breeze through their shoe/jewellery/makeup/dress/underwear/linen/kitchen section.. 

In fact the whole of their store on Elizabeth street Sydney is a marvel for retail therapy! 

Not to mention when sale time comes around! 

Thankfully they were open after hours, and I didn't have to fit it in a lunch hour!

Now move forward a few years..

And where do now do my shopping?

.. Well apart from boring food shopping?..Boring food you say? How can food be boring?

Well.. same veggies, same yogurt, same fruit, same juice, same cleaning products, same, same, same.. 

and that I now do at our new Woolworths in Brookwater just opened..


Brookwater is a Golf Estate amongst the gum trees in Queensland Australia.. 

Its super having a Woolworths within easy walking distance to our home in Brookwater.. 

No longer do I have to do that hour dash through the CBD of Sydney. 

I now shop daily at our new Woolworths for what's fresh, what's for dinner.. 

and still get that daily Retail therapy dose that I so need! 

Aren't I so blessed to have a choice when so many have such need! 

So.. Jean.. count your blessings.. 

those boring veggies, yogurt, cheese, fruit and salad are like manna from heaven to some!

Aah.. but I still miss David Jones.. and I need a new jacket!

So best I take the car out.. and go into town!

1. Anything that I've NOT worn this past season.. into that bag
2. Anything that is tired and lonely.. black shoes.. black tee shirts, black pants that have seen better days go into this second bag.

 I say.. make room in your cupboard for new purchases..

Join our Girls Getaway trips.. our personal shopper/stylist will get you focused on maintaining your best look and image as we journey across Vietnam for 12 days.. meeting the tailors.. and the shoe makers.. and visiting the boutiques.  She'll advise what the best colours are for you..

PS ... I've also got a Stylist Tour 10-22 August, with a Stylist/Personal Shopper, so my wardrobe will get TOTALLY updated .. want to  join us?... there's still SOME SPOTS..but hurry..
We have our Girls only trips twice a year.. Normally in March and October. 

Yay, its Friday.. so that means...

 

Anyone for some shopping?...  Chanel suits are a must.. stylish for  years to come. 

PS.. in Hanoi and Hoi An I know a tailor who can fit and tailor you a suit in a day!  Roll on Vietnam.

What's in a designer name?

Designer labels sure rise the blood pressure.. just the allure of what lies inside, the prospect of bagging your purchase, the prospect of wearing it - all totally worth it - Thanks designers for setting the pace!  Sometimes you just don't get it right I might add...!

Shopping in Vietnam?

Market shopping is amazing - also some great big shopping malls springing up all over the country, and then there are the iconic streets like Dong Khoi Street - Saigon where the allure of silks beckon.. 
And the 36 streets in Ancient Hanoi, where each street is named after the produce its sells, silk, paper, rice, - bring it on! 7-21 October Tour draws closer.. There's still some places..

To market to market to buy some flowers today..

Or shall I do veggies rather?... yes, limes, green beans, chili's, lemons I can make a great meal of these..
