Hair today.. gone tomorrow.. I need a haircut!

Shall it be cut like Meg Ryan's?..

Or this lovely medium bob style.. flick out is essential in a bob for me! I don't like the smooth bob look at all!
Or shall I be brave?.. and go really short?...
What is it with ladies and their hair.. we're never satisfied.. when its long, we want it short, when its short, we want it long.. when its straight we want it curly.. and yes. when its curly we want it straight..
Wait.. there was a song long ago.. Jeremy Taylor..

Aah.. Classique.. Coco Chanel.. Will you leave such a legacy?

The grand dame.. Coco
Gabrielle "Coco" Bonheur Chanel (19 August 1883 – 10 January 1971)was an influential French fashion designer, founder of the famous brand Chanel, whose modernist thought, practical design, and pursuit of expensive simplicity made her an important and influential figure in 20th-century fashion.
Chanel was born to an unwed mother, Jeanne Devolle, a laundrywoman, in a facility for the indigent in Saumur, France. This was Devolle's second daughter. The father, Albert Chanel was an itinerant street peddler who with horse and cart lived a nomadic life, traveling to and from market towns, the family residing in rundown lodgings. .
Having learned the sewing arts during her six years at Aubazine, Chanel was able to find employment as a seamstress. When not plying her trade with a needle, she sang in a cabaret frequented by cavalry officers. It was at this time that Gabrielle acquired the name “Coco,” a name possibly derived from a popular song she sang, or an allusion to the French word for kept woman: cocotte.
Another Classique dame.. Sofitel Metropole Hanoi.. still oozes her charm after all these years.. Dupois 1901 and still going strong!

Kept in pristine condition.. well done team Sofitel Metropole..

A pleasure to meet you.. can't wait to be back!

Something about yellow..

My eyes immediately pick up on this stunning yellow mustard jacket, and the yellow beads.. .. simply stunning!

without this yellow star.. this flag would just be so boring and bland!

Without yellow center..  this stunning water lily would not have her amazing contrasts ..
Even the littliest of yellows add warmth, sunshine.. radiance.. .. think  yellow centre of daisy's and pansies..  gosh.. something about yellow.. this life would be NOTHING without you yellow.. thank you for brightening up my every day..

Coco Chanel Style.. still iconic after all these years..

Kate Middleton certainly knows what to wear, and how to wear it..

These young girls certainly know style in my eyes.. being able to ride their bicycles in white..
 Some quotes -

Luxury can be very simple, for example, staying 15 minutes longer in bed.

Elegance is a question of personality, more than one's clothing.

William Somerset Maugham (1874-1965), author:
A good Havana is one of the best pleasures that I know.

Marilyn Monroe, American actress and sex symbol, 1926-1962:
I am not interested in money. I just want to be wonderful.

Aristotle Onassis, Greek shipping magnate and billionaire (1906-1975):
If women didn't exist, all the money in the world would have no meaning.

What's in a designer name?

Designer labels sure rise the blood pressure.. just the allure of what lies inside, the prospect of bagging your purchase, the prospect of wearing it - all totally worth it - Thanks designers for setting the pace!  Sometimes you just don't get it right I might add...!
Shopping in Vietnam?

Market shopping is amazing - also some great big shopping malls springing up all over the country, and then there are the iconic streets like Dong Khoi Street - Saigon where the allure of silks beckon..
And the 36 streets in Ancient Hanoi, where each street is named after the produce its sells, silk, paper, rice, - bring it on! 7-21 October Tour draws closer.. There's still some places..
