I'm a little teapot, short and stout.. here's my handle.. here's my spout..
The song was originally written by George Harold Sanders and Clarence Z. Kelley and published in 1939... wowie.. goes back so long huh?...

My special dragonfly tea pot comes from Nha Trang in Vietnam.. I love sipping Morning Flower (sunflower, corn flower, rose petals, in a green tea base) from this little treasure..

This one came from Garmish Partenkerken.. on the Austrian boarder.. the Company my husband worked for used it as to serve their 'guest'.. and I boldly asked if I could keep the pot and take it home.. so .. it was wrapped up and here it sits in my cupboard.. and I love serving good English Breakfast tea in it..

Hello..meet my Japanese cast iron tea pot.. its got a super inner filter.. and I use it to make strong chili Chai tea.. it can be brewed on my gas stove, with the milk in it just like I enjoyed in India.. and the little cup warms my hand up.. I like you little pot!

My friend gave me this lovely greeny.. it makes the best lemon grass and ginger tea.. Cool lemongrass brings a zesty zing which is followed by the warming spice of ginger. Cleansing, calming, refreshing and gently stimulating, 

 1 stalk of lemongrass, cut into 3cm pieces

• 3cm of ginger, sliced finely
• 6 cups water
• 2 tbsp honey (optional)

Method
Place the lemongrass and ginger in a pot with the water. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Strain and serve with honey if too pungent.

Makes 5 cups - decant into your lovely little green tea pot and sip and enjoy!

This tea pot is Italian.. it makes the BEST Earl Grey tea.. its been used and enjoyed over many years, and bears witness to lovely tannin inside.. but beware.. anyone trying to get me to 'bleach' those marks away.. this adds to the flavor !!

This little darling is called English Roza.. she's a real vintage, and alas, don't get used much for coffee anylonger.. but can I get rid of  her?.. no never.. she was part of my mother-in-law's kitchen, and I inherited it.. about 25 years ago.. she inherited it from her mother,.. and one of my daughters will inherit it from me, one day..

This special tea pot puts a smile on my face every time I use it.. back in South Africa it was used as a Television Advertisement for Rooi Bos tea.. (Red bush tea).. so full of antioxidents, so healthy, so refreshing,  Rooibos tea often made in on the stove, complete with milk and sugar and allowed to brew all day, is NOT my favorite way to enjoy! This reminds me of boarding school days.

History of Rooibos Tea

In 1772, Swedish botanist Carl Thunberg found the people of the Cape of South Africa were making tea from local plants, specifically, the rooibos plant.  By the 1900s, settlers of the Cape refined the curing process to make African red tea, employing similar methodologies of  green tea processing.

When I get all steamed up,
Hear me shout,
Tip me up and pour me out! (lean over toward spout)
