Thinking B.. for bicycle today.. do you ride?

This delivery bike has become slightly rusty.. but it sets the entrance to On the Rocks @ Blouberg Strand in the Cape perfectly!  (image my own)

Yes.. B IS FOR bicycle.. the wheels go round.. and round.. the gears move up and down.. the pedals go ..

If you've got a bicycle,  you've got a friend!

And your trusty 'steed' can always help you out with a load as well!

There are bicycle and bicycles.. pink ones.. looking all spiffy..

And bicycle images on pottery to make  your parcels look all pretty! This is made by marley and lockyer

And then there's red bicycles with baskets on as well..

I'd like to get on my bicycle today,.. and ride into the horizon! My study is a mess.. my windows are dirty.. I have a pile of editing work to do.. articles to be written.. tours to be marketed.. gosh. yes.. lets find simplicity again! Focus Jean!

And be at peace with your friends..

Just you and your bicycle..

Ok.. maybe you can ask a friend to join you?..

History of the bicycle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
1886 Swift Safety Bicycle
Vehicles for human transport that have two wheels and require balancing by the rider date back to the early 19th century. The first means of transport making use of two wheels, and thus the archetype of the bicycle, was the German draisine dating back to 1817. The term bicycle was coined in France in the 1860s.
1897 ad, showing unskirted garment for women's bicycle riding
Since women could not cycle in the then-current fashions for voluminous and restrictive dress, the bicycle craze fed into a movement for so-called rational dress, which helped liberate women from corsets and ankle-length skirts and other encumbering garments, substituting the then-shocking bloomers

Gosh.. we've come a long way in 100 plus a few..  years!
So.. whatever YOU do today.. make it a good Wednesday.. and get on your bicycle and have some fun exercise!
The 2005 Giant Innova is an example of a typical 700C hybrid bicycle. It has 27 speeds, front fork and seat suspension, an adjustable stem and disc brakes for wet-weather riding.
