Reaping the rewards..

Plough, water, feed, nurture, nourish = rich rewards
Looking today at my garden
When we arrived to live in Brisbane.. oh my gosh.. my poor garden had been so neglected..
That was October 2010

Now skip to 2012.. 12 November 2012.. time flies when you're having fun huh?

So.. whatever is on your path today, anger, hurt, disappointment, suffering, stress,
.. dig in deep.. nurture . nourish.. feed.. water.. weed.. and pretty soon..
your path will be coming up roses!
Don't look at the dry and barren NOW!
Keep focused and even though, it might break your back.. those rewards will come!
I wish you a peaceful Monday.

From my house to yours.. happy weekend..

I'll set the table for lunch.. I'll make my stunning chicken pie recipe, or how about a smoked chicken salad instead?

The lilies have opened up nicely,  they perfume the air with their soft delicate perfume..

I'll put the kettle on.. and we'll have a slice of my favorite lemon loaf with a cuppa home brewed coffee.. tick.. tick..

I'll show you my amazing Ginger flowers.. I've had four flowers this year.. even their leaves are amazing! So lush, and tropical, makes me think I'm in the Bahamas.. not Queensland Australia..

I've got my antique picnic basket ready and waiting.. we'll do a picnic as well.. or maybe take it down to the Gold Coast and sit on the beach with our lunch?.. yes.. that would be great idea.. I'm chilling the bubbly.. so hurry over!
Have a great weekend.. wherever my blog fins you.. please be in touch and tell me where your house is..

The Feng Shui of trees...

Trees are important life source and vital members of our outdoor community. Often called "the lungs of the Earth," trees take the carbon dioxide that we breathe out and return it to us as oxygen.Trees give excellent support. Planted at the rear of a house, trees provide important "Mountain support" at the rear of a property

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.  The next best time is now.  ~Chinese Proverb

Trees are much like human beings and enjoy each others company.  Only a few love to be alone.  ~Jens Jensen, Siftings, 1939
This is Saigon Zoo/Botanical Gardens.. a place for friends and lovers..
Plant pines for longevity. Want to grow to be a ripe old age? Plant pine trees. These are considered to be especially auspicious when planted in the east corner of the yard.
There is always music amongst the trees in the Garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it.  ~Minnie Aumonier
Plant bamboo for the best luck of all. Bamboo is considered a tree although its habit is more like that of a hedge. At the back of a property, bamboo gives solid support. At the left or east side of the property, it gives excellent dragon energy - considered the best energy of all. At the front of the property, bamboo gives very auspicious energy for wealth and opportunity. The front is considered its most auspicious planting location.

The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.  ~Nelson Henderson
Trees promote growth and good health. Planted on the east side of the house, trees can stimulate personal growth and good health. Select large hardwood varieties for this side of the house - this tree lined street I stumbled upon in Saigon..
Flowering trees bring reward. Orange trees are believed to bring wealth and are especially beneficial when planted in the SE corner of the garden. Lime trees are also helpful and bring wealth, particularly to SE facing homes. Lime and oranges planted at the front of the house bring great opportunities in the form of wealth and advancement.

Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.  ~Cree Indian Proverb
